With the beginning of the year 2012 Ukrainians adopted over 300 children
In January-February 2012, Ukrainians adopted 318 orphans and children deprived of parental care, foreigners — 145.
About this during the briefing said the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for children’s rights Yuriy Pavlenko.
“It’s on 59 children more than in the same period last year. In addition, Ukraine adoption in foster families and orphanages of family type in January-February of this year already 154 is arranged for the orphans, which is 54 more than for the same period last year,” he added.
According to Pavlenko, on 1 January of the current year in foster homes and orphanages of family type was raised 9990 orphans and children deprived of parental care.
“Given the results of January-February, it should be noted that today in foster homes and orphanages of family type has already raised over 10 thousand children. In addition, last year were 3.084 Ukraine adoption of Ukrainian children, of whom 2114 – were adopted through domestic adoption by citizens of Ukraine and second part were adopted through international adoption process”
We will remind, earlier Vice-the Prime Minister, Minister of social policy of Ukraine Sergiy Tigipko stated that the child in the boarding school costs the state about 55 thousand UAH
